What is a pawn?

It is common to think that pawning an item is the same as "selling" it. However, a pawn is a cash loan (no credit check needed) for collateral. So, if you are in need of cash, head over to Centreville Gold & Pawn with an item of value and we will work with you to make the pawn process easy.

While your item is in our possession, the sale, use or display is prohibited. Your item(s) are safely secured and stored in our warehouse or vault, and will only be sold should you choose not to repay your loan.

This is how easy it is to pawn!

1. You bring an item of value into our store with a valid state issued ID or Passport
2. Together we will agree on a loan amount for your item
3. Sign your 30-day pawn contract and we give you the cash amount that was agreed upon
4. You come back and pay us the loan amount plus a finance charge (consisting of interest, a 5% storage fee and an electronic processing fee that was predetermined at the time you did the loan)
5. You get your valuable item/ items back with NO HASSLE!
6. If you are not ready to pay the full loan amount at the end of the 30 days, you can opt to just pay the finance charge ( the interest, the 5% storage fee, and the electronic processing fee) instead and that will buy you another 30-day loan!. This can be done an unlimited amount of times until you are ready to pay your loan off and pick your item up. Your item will be safely stored for you at our store.

How to avoid losing your items

• Pay at least the interest, storage fee and electronic processing fee every 30 days and YOU WILL NEVER LOSE YOUR ITEMS!
• Contact us if you are ever unsure about the status of your contract or when your payment is due
• Ensure that we have your correct phone number and email address to be able to contact you if necessary.

Appraisals

Our trained staff has research tools to determine the item’s value in an effort to provide our customers with the best value. The appraisal process varies depending on the type of item, for example; jewelry is evaluated differently than electronics. Every appraisal is done with the intent of providing the customer with the most money possible.

Loan Procedures

Bring in your item to pledge and tell us how much you would like to borrow. Our professional appraisers will evaluate the item(s) and discuss its loan value with you, as well as explain your loan terms and options. Present a valid, government-issued photo ID, sign the required documents and collect your cash.
